Bereaved by suicide
The loss of a loved one is always difficult. However, when death occurs following a suicide, particularly difficult and intense sufferings are felt. To go through all the stages of grief, mourners should benefit from a strong and ongoing support. Only a qualified counselor can offer support that will enable them to overcome these difficult times and thus, avoid living sequelae related trauma that could be detrimental to mental health.
Some counselors at Maison Lyse-Beauchamp followed a complete training by the Suicide Prevention Center, Le Faubourg. We offer support to those bereaved by suicide, as individual support meetings all through the grieving process. We can also act with groups affected by suicide.
Maison Lyse-Beauchamp is a partner of the Suicide Prevention Center (Le Faubourg) to intervene with the bereaved by suicide in the territory of the Antoine-Labelle area.
The Postvention follow-up meetings are held in the form of a formal interview in the premises of Maison Lyse-Beauchamp, located at 770 Olivier-Guimond Street, suite 1, Mont-Laurier or, 300, 12th Avenue, Ferme-Neuve.
