Excessive gambling

Maison Lyse-Beauchamp services are aimed also at a customer who has a pathological gambling problem. To this end, Maison Lyse-Beauchamp offers two distinct types of services, external and internal follow-ups.

 

External follow-ups

External follow-ups for pathological gambling problem are individualized. The follow-ups are held in the form of a formal interview in our premises located in Mont-Laurier or Ferme-Neuve. A date and time of appointment will be awarded by a counselor based on their respective availabilities.

 

Inclusion criteria:

  • People aged 18 and over;
  • A person who has a pathological gambling issues;
  • A person who wishes to make changes to their lifestyle;


Admission procedure:

The person must make a request for assistance by telephone at the following numbers: 819-623-3719 or 819-587-3719. A counselor will be subsequently assigned to start the external follow-up.

Internal follow-ups:

Internal follow-ups are individualized for people having pathological gambling problem associated with dependency problems. A person wishing to benefit from this type of service must be registered in the dependence treatment program at the certified housing resource of Maison Lyse-Beauchamp. The follow-ups are held in the form of a formal interview in our premises, located in Ferme-Neuve. A date and time of appointment will be awarded by a counselor based on respective availabilities.

 

Admission criteria:

  •  People aged 18 and over;
  • A person who has a pathological gambling problem associated with addiction issues;
  • A person who wishes to make changes to their lifestyle;
  • No referred by an institution of the Integrated Centre for Health and Social Services;
  •  Person who has the ability to express themselves in written and spoken French.

 

Admission procedure:

The person must make a request for assistance in an establishment of Integrated Health and Social Services Centre in the Laurentians, among others, a hospital or CLSC. The person will be met by a social worker who will conduct an individualized assessment of the situation experienced and will contact the responsible for admission at Maison Lyse-Beauchamp.
